After high school she went to work at Flint Distributing as a secretary and met her future husband, Ross J. Davis of Bountiful. They married on January 30, 1948 and lived for a short time in Salt Lake City before building a home in Bountiful. They were blessed with three sons, Gregory Wallace Davis, Douglas Ross Davis and Rodney Stephen Davis. As the boys grew, Mary went to work at Woods Cross Realty as a secretary and then later got her insurance license and worked for Galbraith and Green and Fred S. James Insurance. In 1967, they built a new home on 21st South in Bountiful, where she and Ross lived for 50 years. Mary was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the LDS Church and held many callings. She was active in the Daughters of Utah pioneers and volunteered at the Pioneer Memorial Museum. She was always well organized with everything in its place. She took great pride in keeping a spotless home and loved to entertain. Her grandchildren remember fondly that she had Sunday dinner every Sunday for over 40 years. She had an extensive recipe collection that is a treasure to the family.
