Mary Lou Wayman age 71 passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born January 31, 1946 in Treynor, Iowa to George and Evelyn Brockman. She was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work at an early age. She graduated from Treynor School. After graduation, Mary started her family and she was dedicated to teaching her sons the value of hard work as well as treating others as you would want to be treated.
Mary and her sons moved to Utah in 1981, where she met her sweetheart Don Wayman and was married September 26, 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They enjoyed spending time outside, camping, boating, fishing, trips to Lake Powell, and most of all gardening and yard work. One of Mary’s passions was volunteering at Fairfield Village of Layton with the Alzheimer’s patients. She was well known for homemade bread and cookies, crocheting, her big hugs and her love for family.
Mary is survived by her dear and devoted husband Don, and her children, Gary (wife Kari) Frederickson and Mark Frederickson, Debbie (husband Brian) Peterson, Amy Compton, Carrie ( husband Tim) Fulton, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren with one on the way, brothers Gail (wife Carolyn) Brockman, Gerald (wife Bobbi) Brockman, Richard Brockman, sister Marjorie (husband William) Hatcher, mother in law Melba Wayman, brothers and sisters in law Marilyn Ellingson, Elaine (husband John) Francis, Laurene (husband Earl) Thomas, Alan (wife Libby) Wayman, Jeanette (husband Gary) Callister, Julie Wayman, Steven (wife Debbie).
Preceded in death by both of her parents George and Evelyn Brockman, her brothers Roger Brockman, Gordon Brockman, Ronald Brockman and her precious grandson Trevor Frederickson.
A viewing will be held Sunday December 3, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington Utah.
Graveside services will be held Monday December 4, 2017 1:00 p.m. at Leavitt Aultorest Park 836 36th Street Ogden.
