Mary Lyn Wiggins
5/7/1960 – 9/19/2012

Mary Lyn Aland Ward Wiggins of Tucson, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2012.

Mary was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 7, 1960 to Blake and Marie Aland. Mary graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1978, and she received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Utah in 1984. Mary also studied with Brigham Young University in Israel and at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mary was previously married to Eric C. Ward and had two sons, Alexander Aland Ward and Zachary Blake Ward.

Mary had a passion for learning and never missed an opportunity to read, take classes, and immerse herself in different cultures. She loved to travel. She lived in Israel, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Mary also traveled through Europe and North Africa. Later in life Mary became a frequent traveler to Mexico. On one of these trips to Mexico she met her current husband, Anthony Wiggins, in 2004.

Shortly after finding the love of her life, Mary and her boys moved to Tucson, Arizona. Mary and Anthony married in 2007; with this marriage she gained two daughters, Valerie Kies and Jessica Wiggins.

Mary and Anthony spent every minute they possibly could together. They enjoyed bowling, golfing and concerts, but if it was just the two of them together, it didn’t matter what they did.

Mary loved to have fun with her family and friends, using every moment to live life to the fullest. She was always in a happy, smiling mood regardless of whatever challenges she faced in life. She had an uncanny ability to make new friends instantly and always left everyone with a smile. Mary was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mary is survived by her husband, Anthony; children, Alexander, Zachary, Valerie, Jessica; parents, Blake and Marie; siblings, Nancy, Jan, David and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
