Mary Piggott

November 18, 1936 — September 15, 2018

Mary Rogers Piggott was born November 18, 1936 in Paris, Idaho.  Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away on September 15, 2018 in her home in Bountiful, Utah.

Mary was youngest daughter of 8 siblings.  Born to Alfred and Lucile Rogers.  She graduated from Feilding High School Paris, Idaho in 1955.

Her life was filled with joy and happiness due to her family, children, friends and service to others.

Mary is survived by her husband Merrill William Piggott, her children Bradley William Piggott, (Kathrine Mace) Douglas Merrill Piggott (Sandra Lynn Cline), Bryan Kenneth Piggott (Kristin Reid), and Brenda Lee Piggott Burnett (Gregory Burnett).

Sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to raising a family, Mary enjoyed working outside the home for the Federal Reserve Bank, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Davis County School District.

She was organized, disciplined, and a great friend. Her exemplary life was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Mary had a calming and peaceful influence with those whom she interacted, loved and knew. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.

Mary served in the Bountiful Temple with her husband Merrill and they also served a mission as Directors of the Humanitarian Center. She loved serving in various organizations in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The Piggott family would like to recognize and thank Brenda and Hailey, with One Care Hospice, for their tender and dedicated service provided in Mary’s behalf.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00 -10:45am at the Mueller Park Stake Center.  1800 E Mueller Park Road, Bountiful, Utah.

Viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary (295 North Main Street Bountiful, Utah) Friday September 21, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
