Mary Eileen Greco (Boswell) Stephenson passed away quickly and peacefully on April 25, 2025, while surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 13, 1942, in Salt Lake City to Charles Art Greco and Adele Hanna Cox. Mary was seven years old when her family moved to Bountiful, Utah, and she lived most of her life in South Davis County.
Mary married Ronald Edgar Boswell on May 1, 1964. They built their home in Woods Cross, Utah, where they lived for 30 years and raised a family of four boys and one girl. She had many friends from Woods Cross and loved meeting with the “lunch bunch” every week. Ron and Mary divorced in 1994, and Ron passed away in February 2008.
On September 26, 1998, Mary married Kenneth J. Stephenson. She and Ken had a wonderful relationship and enjoyed serving two missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, first in the Orlando, Florida Temple and later as Employment Specialists in Vancouver (Surrey), Canada. Ken passed away in February 2015.
Mary was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life and faithfully served in the church. She was a highly skilled pianist and organist, touching the hearts of numerous people by sharing her beautiful talents. She was also active in Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a band, a book club, and other groups. She loved people, but most of all she loved God and her family.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated professionals at Lakeview Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center for the superior care she received over the last few days of her life. We also gratefully acknowledge the outpouring of love and multitude of messages, well-wishes, and prayers we received from those whose lives Mary has touched.
She is survived by five children: David (Tonya) Boswell, Larry (Kim) Boswell, Mike (Kristin) Boswell, Sheri (Matt) Urry, and Brian (Sara) Boswell; three stepchildren: Dennis (Brenda) Stephenson, Roger (Brenda) Stephenson, and Becky (Dave) Parsons; 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six siblings. Preceded in death by her husband Ken, her parents, and two brothers.
