Our dear sister, mother, daughter and friend, Mary Sue Cheney Berry Dreher, passed away early Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Bountiful, following complications from surgery. Born to Frances Powell and Hal Cannon Cheney, October 11, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Mary was a dark-haired, brown-eyed beauty who loved little kids, rock-in-roll, riding on the back of a motorcycle, and just about everyone she ever met.
She grew up in Bountiful and Walnut Creek, CA where the family moved when she was nine. After marrying in 1963 she moved to San Diego where she lived for many years. She also lived in Stockton, CA and returned to live in the Cheney family home in Centerville four years ago.
Mary is survived by her mother, Frances Cheney; sons Jason A. Berry, Jeremy Dreher and daughter-in-law Olivia McCulloch; brother, Rowland Cheney; sisters Lillian Brown and Jennifer Trost; and numerous nieces, nephews and families. She was preceded in death by her father, Hal Cheney and her husband, Kenneth Dreher.
Funeral services will be at Russon Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 2 p.m.
