Mary Loveland Wolfe, age 86, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born April 13, 1920 in Challis, Idaho to George Elmer and Emma Johnson Loveland, the eighth of nine children. Mary?s mother died when she was only six years old. She went to live with her mother?s sister, Eugene Johnson Bowen, and was raised in Beaver Dam and Logan. Utah. She married Otto George Wolfe, Jr., on April 4, 1938, later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Logan until moving to Bountiful in 1958. She worked in the Davis County School Foods program for several years, when the meals were made from scratch. She then worked in the IHC Central Laundry sewing room, retiring in 1987. Mary was a strong, loving, generous woman who was never afraid of hard work. She was dedicated to making a comfortable home where the door was always open and wonderful food was always on the table. She was the world?s best cook, making many varieties of Christmas cookies. She spent endless hours creating a beautiful, inviting yard, especially enjoyed by the grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress, a haven for many cats and dogs, and a tireless grandma, always willing to tend, cuddle, or listen to a grandchild. Mary is survived by sons Robert and David; daughter Kathy Hyde Frederickson; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one more due this month; one sister, George Jones, Logan. Preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and three sisters, and a son, James. The family expresses appreciation to all the caring people who have served Mary during the past few weeks. She has also been blessed to be surrounded by exceptional neighbors for many years. A short funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful where friends may call one hour prior to services.
