Maudella Adamson Hepworth, 95, known as “Della”, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her assisted living facility in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on February 18, 1929 to David Adamson and Maude Marshall in Salt Lake City. She lived a full and happy life and was a great influence for good on many people.

She attended West High School and married Jack Hepworth, the love of her life, in 1946. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1952. They had five children; Ann, Randy, Linda, Craig and Lori Jo. She has 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Family was very important to her. Della was very involved in her grandchildren’s activities and attended most of them. She loved family gatherings. She loved camping in her and Jack’s motorhome and nights sitting around the campfire with children and grandchildren.

She loved watching baseball, especially the World Series. Della had wonderful sewing, cooking and craftmaking skills. Her descendants cherish many of the things she made for them. She made items from baby blankets to wedding dresses. She was known for her baking and cooking skills, especially her pecan tarts.

Della was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. Her favorite was being an Ordinance Worker in the Bountiful Utah Temple for 18 years.

The family wants to thank Welcome Home Assisted Living for taking such good care of her at the end of her life and also Rocky Mountain Hospice for their tender loving care.

Her husband Jack preceded her in death and two of her children, Ann and Randy. Della is survived by her children Linda Hepworth Savage (Don), Craig Hepworth and Lori Jo Hepworth Lance (Randy). She is also survived by her older sister LuDean Adamson McGrath, 98, who meant so much to Della. She was an inspiration to Della and they talked on the phone daily.
