Maureen Renshaw, who was a lover of bowling, knitting, playing cards, shooting pool and scrapbooking, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30, 2011. She was born September 21, 1951 to Ralph and Arlene Martinson in Salt Lake City, Utah. A graduate of Viewmont High, Maureen boasted a strong work ethic, retiring from Qwest (CenturyLink) after 33 years of service. After that, Maureen managed Professional Answering Service in Bountiful for nine years. Whether in her professional or personal life, she was most comfortable with familiar routines, such as reading the daily paper with her favorite cup of coffee or driving a vehicle until its last gasp. Married in 1970 for 25 years, blessed with three children, later divorced. Her pride and joy was spoiling her six grandchildren at every opportunity and encouraging them in their activities. She embraced everyone and loved a good party. Maureen was fortunate to have many friends who loved her and were always there for her. Ironically, family pets adored Maureen, even though the feeling was not mutual. She is survived by daughters, Amber Wick (Dan) and Nikole Renshaw; son, John Renshaw (Cassandra); along with grandchildren, Mercedes Renshaw, Lexus Renshaw, Arianna Renshaw, Zach Wick, Kiana Renshaw, and Josh Wick; mother, Arlene Martinson; and siblings, Randy Martinson (Donna), Dennis Martinson (Cathy), Steve Martinson (Tammy), Anmarie Martinson; along with 36 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Ralph Martinson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Jo your contagious laugh will be greatly missed. XOXO.
