She left to be with her Heavenly Father and the rest of her family who have gone on before. Maxine was born September 4, 1924, the daughter of Linda Springer. She was raised through the hard times and at 18, during World War II spent time in Salinas, California with a friend. After the war she returned to South Dakota and met and married Carl A. Best, October 19, 1949. They then moved to Utah. Maxine worked in many places from detail work to the federal government. She managed Randall brothers for 13 years. Member of the LDS Church. She met Delbert Pilcher and he was her best friend and companion for 27+ years. They did lots of things together: traveling, dancing, camping and spent many hours talking about the old days. She loved golfing, bowling, dancing, traveling, her beloved pets, and having fun with her children and grandchildren. Survived by two beautiful daughters, Sherwan Jordan (Gary), Cher Dickamore; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, LaVerne Springer (Dorothy); sister, Leona (Ernest) Lien; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Linda Springer; husband, Carl A. Best; son, Terry Best; brother, Don Springer; and sister, Viola Springer. Services will be held Tuesday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main, where friends and family may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment- Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch (1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden, UT )
