McRae (Mac) W. Morrell

McRae W. Morrell (Mac), was born May 6, 1935 in Lovell WY, to Wilber Jolley Morrell and Opal Marchant. Married Dixie Ann Nelson, September 22, 1955, in Bountiful, UT. Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully October 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud West High Graduate where he excelled in baseball. He went on to play in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees Organization. Mac spent 40 years in the Women’s Apparel Industry. He loved family gatherings where he was in charge of the kitchen. He loved hunting and fishing with the boys, playing cards with friends, and any great day of golf.

Preceded in death by, his parents, sisters: Mona, Sylvia, Dawn and Ann. Survived by, his wife Dixie, Guy Morrell (Colleen), Marie Knickrehm (Geno), Kyle Morrell, 10 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren, with 2 additional boys on the way.

A visitation honoring his life will be held, Thursday October 25, 2018, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful, UT from 6 – 8 pm. A private family graveside service will be held Friday at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
