Melissa Mikhailovna Spencer

Melissa Mikhailovna Spencer (Jones) lost her battle with cancer on Monday, 17 December 2018, at the too young age of 26, in her parents’ home in Farmington, Utah.

Melissa was diagnosed last May with Cancer. She immediately focused on her treatment – determined to fight it every way she could. She was determined to live life to the fullest while she was undergoing treatment. She went camping with her family in July between rounds of chemo, attended as many get-togethers with friends as she could, and collected all of the kitchen gadgets she would need to start a serious chef hobby after her recovery. Melissa remained strong until the end and her decline in her final days was sharp and brief. She died at home, surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by, missed by and loved by her parents, Michael and Joy Jones, her siblings Michelle and Jeff Fredericks, Matt and Kathy Jones, Marc Jones, and M’Recia and Brent Seegmiller, her grandmother Joyce Tibbitts, 10 nieces and nephews and many friends. She follows 3 grandparents and a beloved dog, Indy, into eternity.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Pointe Ward, 905 N. Fox Hunter Drive, Farmington.  Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Farmington Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St. Farmington and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.  Interment Farmington City Cemetery.
