Merle Gay Allen Hish ?Beloved Mother?
Our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed thru the veil and into the loving arms of our savior and her eternal family on May 4th, 2006. We will miss her deeply. She was born on November 15, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford Richard Allen and Elnora Christina Olsen. She graduated from West High School in 1944. She married Jackie Donald Hish July 8, 1948, later divorced. Merle received her temple endowments in June 1976. She was a life long member of the LDS Church and active in the Popular Grove 4th Ward. She held many positions but her favorite challenge was Primary President and Relief Society Counselor. Her hobbies were many and her talents to many to mention, but she loved to paint & sew and always loved a good day shopping.
She is survived by her children. Patt & Wayne Edginton, Debbie and Jim Brennan deceased, Cindy Hish, Tami and Lee Adolphson. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents brothers and her beloved sister.
The family would like to thank the River Park Ward, her many friends, Ann with Good Shepard Hospice and the Woodland Park Care Center for their love and support of this grand old lady.
?Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter now into the joy of the lord.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the River Park Ward, 1145 West 500 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and prior to services at the ward from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive.
