Michael Reed Gregersen
1968-2012
Our beloved husband, father, and brother, Mike Gregersen, passed away suddenly from a brain tumor on Feb. 29, 2012. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Camille Lotz Gregersen; his children, Brock and Jamie Gregersen; his brothers Mark (Mona) Gregersen, Kent (Jennifer) Gregersen, and Alan Gregersen; and his sister Tonya Gregersen; as well as his nieces, nephews, and friends. He was greeted in Heaven by his father Juel Gregersen, mother Darlene Gregersen, brother Marvin Gregersen, and sister Julie Gregersen.
Mike was born on Feb. 22, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent his youth enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid mountain biker, camper, and backpacker. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and spent several summers as a teenager working at scout camps. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spokane, Washington, and continued serving faithfully in various capacities in the Church throughout the remainder of his life.
Mike married his sweetheart Camille in the Bountiful Temple Dec. 20, 1997. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Communications and went on to receive his MPA degree from BYU. He spent most of his career as a retirement and financial services advisor, most recently working for E*Trade. When not working, he took great care of his home and could fix practically anything. He also really enjoyed gardening and being a Ham radio operator. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed.
