Michael James Hamilton, 32, passed away on December 7, 2015 due to an accidental medication interaction. Michael grew up in Bountiful, Utah, with his parents, William L. Hamilton, MD, and Julia T. Hamilton. He has three younger siblings: Mary Nelson [Steed], Jane Ann Hamilton, and Daniel Hamilton [Angela]. With 21 aunts and uncles and over 100 first cousins , he was profoundly loved and cherished by his large extended family. Michael served in the Morristown, NJ Spanish-speaking mission for the LDS Church. Always so exuberantly social and generously helpful, he earnestly lived a life of service. Fulfillment to Michael was helping others. He was a loving caretaker for a sweet neighbor with Muscular Dystrophy, which lead him to regularly volunteer with the MDA organization. He rejoiced in his time tutoring inner city children in Los Angeles. Young children were inexplicably drawn to him and adored him, ending in wild romps whenever he entered the room. He was a technology virtuoso and was well known for his knowledge, skill and expertise among family, friends and strangers. Michael, your family will profoundly miss you, every minute of every day. We will miss our free-ranging political and philosophical discussions of news articles, books, histories, theories and interpretation of events in the world around us. We will miss your energy; we will miss your humor. We'll just miss breathing the air around you.
