Michael Wayne Quertinmont (68) of Kaysville, Utah passed away peacefully at 10:37am, Sunday, Oct. 21st, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Diana Donlin Quertinmont and they shared 47 years together.
Mike was born in the small town of Buckhannon, West Virginia on Feb. 15th, 1950 to Gustave Quertinmont and Maxine Martin. He graduated from Buckhannon High School where he loved playing church basketball. He met a friend there who was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Mike ended up joining the Church at age 17. He went to Fairmont University where he majored in History Education. He met his future wife at a Young Single Adult softball game.
He was employed for 20 years as a restaurant manager and finished his career in Utah working for Fidelity Investments.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he had a deep love for the gospel and the Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved his secretary calling in the stake because he got to talk to so many different people. He enjoyed music, gardening and yard work, reading, collecting coins, stamps, movies, and books. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, ability to talk to anyone, and his energy and love of life.
He is survived by his wife Diana Quertinmont, his 4 children, Season Low ( Kent) , Mike (Brooke), Crystal Coleman(Kent), Josh (Becky) along with his 14 grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 26th at 11am at the LDS chapel at 9 East 550 South, Kaysville. A visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Relief Society Room.
