Mildred Jean Osborne Elder

Mildred (Milly) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family August 2, 2017.  She met the love of her life, DeLoy Elder, in February 1949 at a church fireside in Hawthorne
CA.  On October 8, 1949, they were married for time and eternity in the St. George Temple.  She served quietly and faithfully in many church callings including twice as Relief Society President.  She was very artistic and loved oil painting and at the age of 79 she learned to paint with water colors.  She has left many beautiful works of art for her Legacy.
She loved her family so much and her family was her world.  Her son Mark was born with Spinal Bifida and she cared for him until he passed away at age 40.  Her daughter Joanne had Leukemia for 15 years and she cared for her until she passed away at age 53.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sandy Health and Rehab for the great care they have given her for the past 2 years.   She was a true example to all those who knew her.
She is pre-ceeded in death by her father James Clyde Osborne, her mother Artemetia Westover, brothers Bill and Kenny, children, Joanne and Mark,  grandchildren  Mandy, Tyler and Jerry.  She is survived by her husband DeLoy Elder, her children D. Craig (Laraine) Elder, Robert K. (Gina) Elder, Julie (Reed) Heiden and Kevin J. (Jeannee) Elder, 28 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday August 7, 2017 at the Crescent 16th Ward, 275 E 10600 S in Sandy.  Friends and family may visit Sunday August 6, 2017 at Russon  Mortuary, 295 N Main in Bountiful from 6-8 pm and Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to services.  Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S 200 W.
