Mildred Jones Bangerter

Mildred Pauline Jones Bangerter, age 90, joined her eternal companion, Johnny, on May 18th, 2010, surrounded by loved ones. Millie was born Sept 23rd, 1919 in Salt Lake City Utah, to Horace Burr Jones and Ethel Elizabeth Geiger. She graduated from South High School in 1936. August of 1937 she was baptized a member of the LDS church, and six months later met &qoute;the handsomest man I’d ever seen,&qoute; and that was the beginning… During their engagement, Johnny built her dream home in Bountiful where they lived their entire life. Johnny and Millie were married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1941 and were blessed with three wonderful sons. She served faithfully in the Salt Lake Temple for 22 years, served in many church callings, and donated countless hours making quilts for family and humanitarian services. Millie is survived by her three sons, Gene Carol, Gary Kathy, and Rick Sheryl. 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren, and her brother Darrell Kay Jones. Preceded in death by her husband, John H., parents, and brother Robert Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, May 24th at the Orchard 2nd LDS Ward, 3707 S 800 W Bountiful. Friends and family may visit Sunday May 23rd from 6-8pm at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful or Monday 9:30-10:30am at the church prior to services. Internment will be at Bountiful Cemetery 2224 S 200 W Bountiful. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the LDS Church Missionary or Humanitarian Aid Fund.
