Mildred Tyler Ward, 91, passed away peacefully in Bountiful, Utah, Thursday, June 8, 2006. She was born February 27, 1915 in Barney, Arkansas, near Little Rock, to Rufus Black Tyler and Mary Ann Hogan. She married Orville Milton Ward on August 23, 1932. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple. Mildred lived in Pocahontas, Arkansas, until she eight years old. They moved to Fort Thomas, Arizona and then Twin Falls, Idaho, where she graduated from Twin Falls High School. She spent her life doing what she loved most – raising her family and attending to her church responsibilities. Her honor and integrity are well known by those who were acquainted with her. She is a memorial of strength, integrity, and good will. She and Orville moved to Woods Cross, Utah in their later years. She served as a custodian for the LDS Church, working along side her husband. She and Orville retired in 1982. She is survived by her four children: Wayne Maurine Ward, Covington, WA; Yvonne Gary Leishman, Farmington, UT; Caroline Ward, Bountiful, UT; Lane Julie Ward , presently serving as President of the Trujillo Peru Mission; 20 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers and one sister; John Leslie Tyler, Lloyd Shirley Tyler, and Jewell Parker. Her parents, two brothers, six sisters and one grandson preceded her in death. Many heartfelt thanks to Bee Hive Homes, Orchard Cove, South Davis Home Health and Hospice for their tender care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 12:00 noon, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held at the mortuary one hour prior to services.
