Milton Lewis Starley

January 4, 1927 — June 17, 2018

Milton Lewis Starley, 91, passed away June 17, 2018 Bountiful, UT. He was born January 4, 1927 in Fillmore, UT to Orvil Lewis & Alzina Fern Starley. He attended Millard High, served an LDS central states mission, served in the Army, then attended the College of Southern Utah & graduated from Utah State Agricultural College (USU) in 1956. He taught high school one year in Randolph, UT, then taught 30 years in Salt Lake, mostly at West High. He met Mona Wright while she was teaching school in Fillmore; they were married 6/6/55 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Milt was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandpa & great-grandpa. He loved to work in his beautiful yard & created many wonderful things in his wood shop that stand as lasting memories of him. He also served in many church callings. His greatest enjoyment came from time with family.
Milton is survived by his children Steven (Lynette), Susan Clark (Bruce), Paul (Tracey), Marianne Lara, sister Phyllis Starley Carter, eight grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way). He was preceded in death by his wife Mona, parents, other siblings, grandson Kevin Matthew Starley & great-grandson Erik Michael Starley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 11am at the Bountiful 31st Ward, 585 E Center St, Bountiful, UT. Friends & family may visit June 22, 6-8pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT, or June 23 9:45-10:45am at the church. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
