Mitchell Scheidell Davis our loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend passed away May 11, 2016.
Mitchell was born August 25, 1993 to Richard and Chris Davis in Bountiful, Utah. Throughout his childhood he was active in the Boy Scout program where he was influenced by wonderful friends and leaders. He attended Viewmont High School where he participated in stage crew and band as a drummer. Mitch has maintained deep and lasting friendships from his childhood and teen years that have been a blessing in his life.
As a teenager he worked with his Grandpa Golden who cultivated Mitch's dedication to hard work and a job well done. This has continued to be a defining characteristic for him.
Throughout his life, Mitch has been the light of our family. He has had an especially close relationship with each of his siblings and parents. He moved to California to work and spend time with his brother, Tyler and nephews. After that he moved to North Dakota to work during the oil boom where he learned to drive heavy equipment. While there, he lived for a time with his brother Mike and then with his sister Meagan. Last fall he returned home to Centerville to work and live with his parents. Everywhere Mitch lived and worked he developed deep and lasting friendships and was loved by everyone.
These last four years have been especially precious to each of his family members as we have been blessed with his wisdom, love, service and support. We will hold his tender spirit, kindness and love forever in our hearts.
Thank you for being our boy Mitchy!
Mitchell is survived by his parents, Richard and Chris; his siblings, Meagan, Tyler (Saphy), Mike (Jacee); grandfather, Golden Davis; grandmother, Bertie Scheidell, nephews, Ryker, Phoenix and Owen, and nieces, Harlee and Addysen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Connie Scheidell and grandmother, Ida Davis.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support received from family, friends and neighbors.
