Mitchell Seifert

July 14, 1955 — July 17, 2013

Our father was a great and humble man. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Martin W. and Marilyn Seifert of Bountiful. He went to Viewmont High School, class of 1973. He joined the United States Army in 1973 and was stationed in Germany. He then joined the National Guard. He married Claudia Posselli in 1975, later divorced. They share 3 children.

He worked as a civilian at Hill air force Base as a Fuel Tank Mechanic on fighter jets and as a maintenance supervisor. He retired in 2006. He loved cruises and traveling around Europe with friends. An avid fan of the U of U, The Utah Jazz and watching NASCAR. He always took his kids and grandkids to the Salt Lake Bees game to watch fireworks.

He is survived by his parents, his 3 kids – Maureen (Brandon) Rodabough (Woods Cross), Christopher (Christian) Seifert (West Jordan), Kimberlee (Lynn) Giles (Loa), 9 grandkids, his 6 siblings and his dear friend Kathleen Mallon (Manchester, England). He is preceded in death by his sister, Maureen Kay Seifert.
