Molly Straw Averett

November 29, 1955 — January 4, 2022

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully at home watched over faithfully by her husband on January 4, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born in Provo, Utah on November 29th, 1955, the sixth child of William James Straw and Sina Mae Peyton Straw.

Molly grew up in a loving home in Springville, Utah where she made countless lifelong friends and cherished memories. She graduated from Springville High School and attended Dixie State College where she earned an Associates Degree. She married Ronald Andersen. Later divorced. Married Lynn Averett May 29th, 2008 and they were later sealed for all time in the Bountiful Temple.

Molly deeply loved her family, extended family members and her numerous friends. She served faithfully in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had an unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her smile lit up any room and her willingness to serve anyone was unequaled. She loved her work at Bountiful Family Wellness Center where she made friendships with everyone she met. Molly enjoyed working in the garden, canning fruits, vegetables and was known by family, friends and neighbors for her unbelievable chocolate making talent. She could repair anything, was an excellent cook and was amazing at everything she tried. A truly good-hearted woman who loved and forgave unconditionally. She will be missed more than words can describe.

She is survived by her husband; 7 children: Heather (Lance) O’Neil, Michelle (Ben) Nydegger, Dane (Mindy) Andersen, Lyndi (Don) Belnap, Kasidy (Nate) Evans, Jeremiah (Tanille) Averett and Jaron (Courtney) Averett, as well as 25 ½ grandchildren and 4 ½
great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Cheryl) Straw; Sisters-in-law, Linda Straw and Jennae Straw; as well as many nephews and nieces.
