Murray Dugald Wing lived a happy and healthy 94 years. He passed away peacefully Oct. 18, 2010 in Salt Lake City. Murray was born September 3, 1916 to Charles Murray Wing and Pearl Eliza McMurphy Wing in Silver City, Utah. As a child he lived in Salt Lake City, and Tintic Utah. He attended school in Salt Lake City and enlisted in the Navy in Dec. of 1933. He later returned to Utah and married Wilma Ingleby Oct. 20, 1937, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a lifelong employee of Union Pacific Railroad and AMTRAC, working as a brakeman and conductor, retiring when he was seventy. He was again inducted into the Navy, June 29, 1944 during World War II. He served at Dugway Proving Ground until hostilities ended. Then he sailed off to relieve troops being brought home. He was honorably discharged March 20, 1946. He lived in Bountiful most of his life. The family thanks the wonderful staff at Barton Creek and Wentworth Care Centers. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thorpe, and sister Margaret Parker, wife Wilma, and son Dale Murray. He is survived by a daughter Margaret Ellen Jordan (Gerald), grandchildren: Donna Lundy (Todd), James Murray Jordan (Nancy), Alan Russell Jordan (Matilda), & Julie Ann Fawson (David), and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
