Nadine Joy Ledesma Gibbons

Nadine Joy Ledesma Gibbons, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully in her husband’s arms the evening of January 27^th, 2024 at the age of 86 years old following a valiant battle with dementia. 

A Utah native, Nadine was born on January 13^th, 1938, in Bountiful, Utah to Narcis and Lavina Ledesma. She was a proud graduate of West High School and Stevens-Henager College. She married Ralph Gibbons on May 14, 1959 in Salt Lake City Temple.  

She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 20 years. She loved going on walks to clean the community of litter, playing golf, spending time with family, and traveling to new and exciting places. Her favorite destinations included Switzerland, Disneyland, and Yuma, Arizona where she and Ralph would spend the winter months escaping the cold and playing golf with friends.

Nadine was a devoted servant to her family, community, and faith. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nadine served countless callings throughout her years. 

She is survived by her husband, Ralph, of 64 years, her 3 children Randy (Bobbie) Gibbons, Kurt Gibbons, and Cori (Tom) Gyuro, her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren with three more on the way, and by her brother Arthur (Shari) Ledesma. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Connie (Neil) Schmitt and Nester (Julie) Ledesma. 

Nadine lived a grand life filled with laughter, service, and JOY. Her family will dearly miss her warm smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering optimism. Our angel on earth has finally been called home.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 with a viewing from 11:30-12:45 pm and a funeral service to follow at 1 pm, at the Compton Bench Ward chapel, 850 N. Compton Rd., Farmington, Utah. An additional viewing will be held the night before on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah. Nadine will be interred at the Farmington City Cemetery.
