Nancy Aaron Jensen

d. February 23, 2004

One of Heavenly Father?s choicest daughters returned to His presence on February 23, 2004. Nancy Martha Aaron Jensen was born December 6, 1912 in Kelsey, Texas to Emmett Milton Aaron and Frances Elizabeth Thompson. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend to all lived her ninety-one years always thinking of others and serving them. With a grateful heart, she loved unconditionally and truly followed the Savior?s example every day of her life. Nancy was the eldest and the last surviving child of nine children, losing her closest and dearest sister, Signe E. Smith only two months ago. She treasured her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was grateful for every opportunity to serve, especially as mission secretary in the Texas Mission. In later years she held dear the time she served in the Jordan River LDS Temple Baptistry with her husband. Nancy married her eternal companion, Lloyd Jay Jensen, on November 25, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were together 62 years before his passing in May 2001. Nancy and Lloyd?s five children, 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren were their greatest source of happiness and joy. Blessed to be taught and raised by Nancy are her five children: Jay Lynn Terri of Provo, UT; Bruce Christine of Kaysville, UT; Gary of Westlake Village, CA; Stephen Ardyth of Burbank, CA; Janis Judd of Tempe, AZ; and daughter-in-laws, Judy Jensen and Ellen Rafferty. Grateful to call her ?Grandma? are Dan, Christian, John, Heidi, Heather, Todd, Amy, Mike, Julie, Matthew, Ryan, Jay, Ben, Megan, Tim, Alexis, Jeff, Mark, Frank, Elizabeth, Janie, Max, Maris and Lilli. Her husband would often say, ?Mother never met a stranger she didn?t love.? She was industrious, hard working and happiest while serving others. She leaves for all who knew her a legacy of faith, humility, integrity and kindness. She lived in gratitude and thanksgiving daily, never more noticeably profound than the last few weeks of her life. ?Thank you? were the key words of her existence. The family would like to express their gratitude to each and every dear friend who also became her family. You enriched and blessed our Mother?s life. Humbly, we thank you. As N.J. would often say, ?I couldn?t feel better and have less?, so sorry to ?Loves ?ya and leaves ?ya.? Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillcrest 4th Ward Chapel, 8735 South Harvard Park Drive Approx 1070 East, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call on Friday evening at the same ward from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant, Utah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary. Online guest book and direction map at www.russonmortuary.com.
