Nancy Lee Gilbert Call, born on June 11, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Albert Gilbert and Johanna Szybrowsky Gilbert, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. She grew up on the family farm in Riverton, Utah, surrounded by her thirteen brothers and sisters.
In March 1962, Nancy married the love of her life, Harold Thomas Call. Together, they had four children: Michael (Susan) Call, Shiree (Scott) Anderson, Tamara (David) Eaton (deceased), and Teresa (Trenton) Cockayne. The Call family expanded with seven grandchildren: Michael Sorenson, Stacey Call, Karly (Ian) Anderson, Collin (MaKaylee) Sorenson, Jeremy Anderson, Shauna (Travis) Call, David Call, and two great-grandchildren, Ellie Mae and Cooper Sorenson.
Nancy and Harold enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage, traveling the world with lifelong friends, playing the dingers in Las Vegas with her sisters, and adding to her ever-expanding collection of shoes. Nancy cherished baking cookies with her grandchildren and tending to her flower garden, especially her favorite flowers: peonies, white snowballs, and lilacs. Her sweet soul touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We love you, Mom, and you will be in our hearts forever.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Bountiful Cemetery near her daughter Tamara. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday afternoon from 11:45-12:45 p.m. prior to services.
