Bountiful, Utah – On March 21, 2017, our sweet and affectionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother Nancy Kay Tregeagle Beauregard left us on a beautiful spring day and returned to live in Heaven. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family. She passed away after a seven year decline caused by Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Parkinson-like symptoms. Through it all, mom always expressed gratitude, offered kind compliments, gave tender kisses, loving hugs, and made us laugh. Nancy was born September 19, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur Prestley Tregeagle and Annie Florence Gibson Tregeagle. She married LeR Beauregard on September 1, 1954.
Above all, devotion to family was the hallmark of Nancy's entire life. Mom constantly gave her time and developed her talents to support dad and care for her children. She created a home filled with love and joy. Mom was a compassionate and patient mother. She was always there to support and cheer for each of us in our unique interests. She taught us the joy and value of work.
Mom was an excellent seamstress and spent many hours sewing beautiful clothes for her children and curtains for our homes. Mom loved to crochet and quilt and left her family and friends with afghan's and quilts to forever feel wrapped in her love. Mom prepared delicious meals using the fresh fish and wild game dad brought home. Mom was known for her homemade candy, especially her unique creation of a pecan log with a penuche center. Our lives are forever enriched through her uplifting and inspirational words of poetry.
Nancy's favorite class in school was shorthand, and after graduating from East High School, she worked as a highly skilled secretary. After her children were raised, Nancy worked for the pediatric surgeons at Primary Children's Hospital for 15 years.
As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, mom instilled in us a love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Relief Society was a source of strength in raising her children, and provided her with an opportunity to develop and share her talents. She gave her whole heart in serving diligently as a teacher and in leadership callings in Primary, Relief Society, Young Women's, and Sunday School.
Our family would like to express appreciation to all the friends, neighbors, extended family, and caregivers for their outpouring of love and support. We are deeply grateful for Sharlene Morrill, Rosemary Wall & John Mather with Adagio Hospice, Country Oaks Adult Day Care and the Visiting Angels.
Left behind are Nancy's most precious treasures – her loving husband of 62½ years, LeR Beauregard and her six grateful children and their spouses: Kay (Larry) Gerber, Gail, Roxann, Shari (Patrick) Green, Kim (Daryl) Bell, and Alan (Teresa) Beauregard. Her legacy and life is carried on by her 11 wonderful grandchildren and 6 precious great grandchildren.
Mom is also survived by her older sister, Dawna Miller, of Thornton, Colorado. Nancy was preceded in death and will be reunited with her parents, brother, Virgil Quenton (Quen), twin siblings Patsy (Pat) Adele and Prestley (Pres) Arthur.
Throughout her 82½ year journey, mom embodied kindness, humility, tenderness, gratitude and faithfulness. Mom, through your patience, humor, and most of all your unconditional love, you taught us how to live, work and love. We have been blessed with your kisses as well as your affectionate and inescapable hugs. Mom, although our hearts are breaking and tears are flowing, we are eternally grateful for you.
Please join us as we celebrate mom's life at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2505 South Davis Boulevard, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held on Friday, March 24, from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, March 25, from 9:45-10:45 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Nancy will be laid to rest in the Bountiful Cemetery.
