Nancy Jo Potter was born in the exact middle of the century, June 15, 1950, to Rhoda Larsen Potter and Donald Joseph Potter. She was born and raised in Chester, Idaho. She had a happy and idyllic childhood on her family farm and had a lifetime love for (some) animals, especially her cats, Punkie, Peaches, and Gizzie. Her home on the Fall River was a frequent gathering spot for family. She graduated from Ricks College and BYU with a degree in business. She was a lifelong BYU and Utah Jazz fan. After spending some time in Denver, where she unfortunately became a fan of the Broncos, she moved to Salt Lake City where she spent the rest of her life. She spent many years working at Callister Nebeker & McCullough as a legal secretary, loving the people and tolerating the work. Nancy loved adventure and traveling the world with friends and family. She also loved sharing her favorite parts of life with others, taking people to her favorite plays and restaurants and giving books for Christmas. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Nancy had a distinctive laugh and sarcastic sense of humor that she kept until the end. Following a brain tumor, she spent the last seven years of her life in an assisted living home where she developed, unpredictably, a love for NASCAR. She passed away on October 30, 2023.
