Nancy Ann Wood passed away on February 13, 2025, in Farmington, Utah, at the age of 80. She was born on July 8, 1944, in Brigham City, Utah and moved with her family to Tremonton, Utah, when she was three years old. She graduated from Bear River High School in Garland, Utah in 1962 and attended college at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she met Barry England. The two married and moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where they welcomed their first two children, Marta and Rebecca. The family then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where their third child Rachael was born. Nancy spent fifty years in Ann Arbor before fulfilling her longtime dream of returning to Utah.
Nancy worked in Human Resources at StatProbe before retiring. Outside of work, she found great joy in gardening, particularly in growing plants from seed - always seeking out the most unusual and unique varieties. She also had a special fondness for cats, cherishing their companionship throughout her life.
She is survived by her three daughters, Marta, Rebecca, and Rachael and her beloved cat, Sasha. She also leaves behind her younger sister, Barbara and her brother Brent. She is preceded in death by her parents Vyrle Wood and Doris Christensen Wood, and her sister Judy Ratliffe.
A funeral service will be held on February 22nd at 11:00 am with a viewing prior to the service from 9:45-10:45 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 272 N. Main St., Farmington, Utah. After the service Nancy will be buried at the family plot in Brigham City.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to your local animal rescue organization in Nancy’s memory.
