After moving to Basin Idaho a daughter Luana was born June 29th 1933. About 1937 they moved to Oakley Id. and opened a small portrait studio. Naomi spent one summer in San Francisco Ca. to learn portrait oil coloring. The studio was sold when Arnol enlisted in the Navy. After the war they relocated to Salt Lake City. Naomi learned to retouch portrait negatives and started doing work for studios in the area. Naomi and Arnol were divorced in Oct. 1946. Naomi started working for Lignell & Gill Studio in Salt Lake. Mr. Gill did all the portraits for the LDS Church so she met all the leaders from George Albert Smith to David O McKay. She remained at the studio until the mid 50’s, then started work from home.
