Jean Wright
1928-2012
Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Nellie Jean Madsen Wright, 83, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2012. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Shelley, Idaho to Lyman Lorenzo Madsen and Melvina Huffaker. She married her eternal companion, Norman Ray Wright on August 27, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom was a kind and loving woman with many talents. She was very organized and cherished her role as wife and mother. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She served in many capacities throughout her life, but her favorite calling was always the secretary of any organization, where she kept immaculate records. She is survived by her six children, Kristine (Steve) Butler, Karen (Bruce) Marchant, David (Rona) Wright, Shauna (Kevin) Smith, Shelley (Scott) Salisbury, Darin (Jacqui) Wright; 32 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren, soon to be 53, and her two sisters; Tess Porter and Beth (Rone) Clawson. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart Norman, parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters as well as a great-granddaughter. The family would like to express their appreciation and love to her sweet nurses, Anita and Stephanie, Integrity Healthcare Hospice, and her special friends and the employees of Legacy Village in Layton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 10-10:45 at the Centerville 3rd Ward building, 900 South 400 East. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
