Noah Robert Merrill was born on January 20, 2020 to Alex and Abbie (Isaac) Merrill. He passed away on August 29, 2022. He was the perfect older brother to Millie (8 months). Noah was born with a broken body but a beautiful soul. His short life was hard, but he found joy in many things. He loved whipped cream, sticks, and music. He loved to watch musicals and have his arms shaken and hands clapped together. He loved to cuddle with everyone, and he was such a calming presence that many people found it hard not to fall asleep while holding him. But most of all he loved dancing. He loved dancing with anyone, but especially his dad. Every night Noah would wait in anticipation for his dad to come and dance with him as part of his bedtime routine. They danced to all kinds of music, but lately, he had really been enjoying dancing and listening to the soundtrack from Disney’s Encanto. It was one of the first things he had ever been excited about.
He also disliked quite a number of things. Teeth Brushing, water on his face, temperature checks, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, splash pads, and mashed potatoes.
His soul is now free from his broken, bruised, and struggling body. Noah had severe brain damage due to an accident in his mother’s womb–which caused a staggering amount of issues throughout his life.
Noah leaves behind many family members and friends who are grateful for the short time they spent with him. He taught us patience and joy in small things. He taught us that you are infinitely stronger than you think you are. He taught us to love every moment. Every smile. Every move of the finger. Every squeal. Every single beautiful moment.
Noah's viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful Utah from 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022.
