Noel "Red" Shuldberg

December 25, 1934 — March 7, 2015

     Bountiful, UT – Noel L. Shuldberg died March 7, 2015  due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was born Christmas Day 1934 in Roberts, Idaho to Louise Abbott and Leroy H. Shuldberg. Noel was raised on the family farm in Mud Lake, Idaho where they raised sheep, hay, and Short Horn cattle. He graduated from Roberts HS in 1952 serving as Student Body President and was on the basketball and track teams.  
He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Animal Husbandry and minors in English and Physical Science.
     Following graduation Noel returned to Mud Lake to farm and work with his Father at his John  Deere dealership. He later joined the Army Reserve and trained in radio repair. Noel married Ramona Lee Shipp August 31,1958 in Rockland, Idaho. They were sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple.
     Noel and Ramona relocated to Salt Lake City where he received a degree with honors in Electronics. He was hired by Boeing and moved to Renton, Washington. Moving back to Utah in 1964 he was hired by Litton  Data Systems and later he went to work for  the University of Utah in Cardiac Vascular Research and Computer Medicine. This position evolved into  
Clinical Engineering and he became responsible for the electronic equipment for Surgery at the L.D.S. Hospital.  He retired in 1997.  
Noel and Ramona purchased a cabin in Island Park, Idaho which they enjoyed tremendously. Noel and Ramona were volunteers for 'Operation Smile' serving several  missions  to China, Honduras, and the Philippines.  
Noel  was an active member of the LDS Church. He served faithfully as a High Priest and answered numerous church callings.
     Noel  is survived by Ramona, his wife of 56 years, 2 sisters, Helen Berrett of Idaho Falls, ID and Bonnie Eglin of Yakima, WA,  sons David, Patrick (Kelly), William, and daughter Sheri White (Thomas), 8 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.
      He will be remembered as a kind, humble, quiet man with a dry sense of humor.    
      The family would  like to thank the staff of the Legacy House and Mark Wagstaff R.N. for  
their service and compassion.
A viewing will be held at Russon  Brothers Mortuary 295 N Main St, Bountiful from 6-8 pm Thursday. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 13 at the North Canyon 7th Ward Chapel 3350 S. 100 E. Bountiful, Utah. with a viewing one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Operation Smile.
