Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away at her home in Bountiful, Utah on January 28, 2011. She was born April 25, 1916 to George Wallace Wilcox and Nettie Jane Barber in Kaysville, Utah. She graduated from Davis High School and LDS Business College. She attended classes at U of U and BYU. She married Allen H. Barber on Easter Sunday, March 28, 1937 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Throughout her life Nora was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. She was a records extraction missionary and served LDS missions in Georgia and Chili with Allen. Nora was an Executive Secretary for the State Road Commission, Bamberger Railroad Station Agent, and secretary for Allens real estate business. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, water-aerobics, camping, fishing, traveling, and gardening. Noras greatest joy was her family. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sisters, and grandson. She will be missed by her three daughters, Karen (David) Cook, Judith (Sherman) Butters, Janet (Roger) Bagley, 27 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 3rd at 1:00 pm at the Bountiful Tabernacle on 51 South Main. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and Thursday at the Bountiful Tabernacle beginning at 11:30 am prior to services. Interment at Kaysville Cemetery.
