Norma Ann Ririe Woolley

March 3, 1926 — March 24, 2017

Norma Ann Ririe Woolley passed away peacefully on March 24, 2017 in Bountiful, Utah at the age of 91. She was born March 3, 1926 in Magrath, Alberta, Canada to Morris Elmer and Margaret Annie Watson Ririe.
She graduated from Magrath High School, then attended BYU before serving in the Southern California LDS Mission. She returned from her mission at the same time as her fiancé and high school sweetheart, Donald Grant Woolley. They were married three weeks later on November 26, 1947 in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple.
As they got an education, started a career, raised their family, and served in their community and church, they lived in Logan, Utah; southern Alberta, Canada; Ames, Iowa; and Chicago, Illinois. They retired to Bountiful, Utah in 1997.
Norma fulfilled every church calling she was given joyfully and faithfully including early morning seminary teacher, ward and stake Relief Society president, and LDS social services worker. She loved serving as an assistant temple matron in the Chicago and Bountiful temples.
She loved reading and memorizing scriptures and read at least one chapter each day in the Book of Mormon since the early 1980's. Her deep and abiding testimony is an inspiration to all. She was a beautiful pianist, a hard worker, a marvelous cook, a delightful hostess, and an avid Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls fan.
She was twice blessed. She was happy. She knew it.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, and siblings Mary Margaret (James) Blumell and Watson (Barbara) Ririe. She is survived by her three sisters and one brother: Ruth (Wes) Rice, Joan (Tommy) Karren, Jacqueline (Allen)West, and Jimmy (Toni) Ririe, and five children: Jane (Steve) Harward, Wayne (Julie) Woolley, Mary Ellen (Tim) Ross, David, and Patricia (Joe) Gannaway, 18 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
