Norma Bushnell George

Norma George passed away June 17, 2019 at the age of 92. The youngest of seven children, she was born September 18, 1926 to William and Lois Bushnell in Meadow, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.  She was married to Cecil Dean George on December 16, 1948 in the St. George, Utah temple. She is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, and children; Gary Dean (Mary), Gloria (Mont Vargason) and Jill Hubble. She had 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Norma worked as an executive assistant at Kennecott until she retired in 1983, after which she obtained her real estate license.

Norma lived a very full and active life. She was famous for her Sunday dinners for the whole family.  She opened her home to her grandsons so they could attend college. Grandma’s kitchen was always open for hungry grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Norma loved her second home in Henderson, Nevada and spent half her time there for the past 30 years.

Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Barton Creek Ward at 640 S. 750 E., Bountiful, UT, 84010. Services at 10am, viewing preceding at 9 am. Interment at Kanosh Cemetery at 3 pm.
