Walnut Creek, CA- Our beloved Norma G. Casper, age 77, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was born September 20, 1937 in Rigby, Idaho to Evelyn Green and Leonard Everett Graham. She married Douglas Alma Casper on August 31, 1955 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They shared 36 wonderful years together. Seven years after Douglas's passing, she married Virgil Glenn Jeppsen in Centerville, Utah where they lived happily until his passing in 2004. After Glenn's death, she relocated to California where she received loving care from her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Kentner, until her passing.
Norma loved to serve others and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities including Relief Society President. She was a licensed cosmetologist and used her skills to bless the lives of others. Norma enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, and music. Many were blessed by her talents. The joy of her life was her family and they were a regular topic of conversation with others. Norma endured many painful ailments for decades, but was known for her loving compassion for others despite her personal challenges.
Survived by children Debbie (Jim) Kentner, Kurt (Tami) Casper, Mark (Sande) Casper, Sandra (Paul) Curtis, and Bruce (Rachel) Casper; stepchildren Bruce Jeppsen, Marie (Daryl) Cook, Rod (Terry) Jeppsen, Cril (Mark) Cochran, Scott Jeppsen, and Harv (Nanette) Jeppsen; siblings Clay Graham, Leonard Graham, Nettie Nelson, Steven Graham, and Eva Mae Phillips; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Graham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 34th Ward, 540 North 1200 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening, February 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, or Saturday morning 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the funeral services. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
