We say goodbye for now to our beloved Mother, Norma, who passed away on July 1, 2013, at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born, January 30, 1932, in St. Anthony, Idaho to Ferry and Oneta Seely.
She grew up on a farm in Twin Groves, Idaho where she attended the country school, South Fremont High, and graduated from BYU where she received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education.
She married Herbert Creviston in the Idaho Falls Temple, June 26, 1959. To this union was born Lynne, Todd, and Randy.
Norma loved teaching and was an outstanding teacher who affected the lives of hundreds of children with her love, compassion, and understanding of each childs needs.
She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ with all her heart. She served in many callings throughout her life. She especially loved working with the youth, sharing her talents with her creativity in art, music, and drama. One of her favorite callings was serving as an advisor in the Relief Society at BYU Idaho.
Typical of her life of devotion to her church, she served a mission to San Antonio, TX with her sister and best friend Donna Bright Linford. She also served as a dedicated temple worker for five years.
Her greatest joy in life was her children whom she served and loved unconditionally. Her ultimate contribution was in providing for them a model of Christ-like behavior.
Norma will be greatly missed, but her gifts of love and compassion will be carried on for generations.
Norma is survived by her children Lynne (David) Martin, Todd (Irena) Creviston, Randy (Sylvia-deceased) Creviston.
Twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Siblings Dean (Leila) Seely, Donna (Barry Bright and Golden Linford-deceased) Linford, Sylvan (Gail) Seely, and Clyde (Linda) Seely.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5th, 11am at the Kimball Mill Ward (650 S 200 E Bountiful). Preceding the service, the family will visit with friends from 9 to 10:45am.
Interment will be at the Parker, Idaho cemetery at 5:30pm.
Parting is such sweet sorrow. We love you and will miss you dearly until we meet again.
