Norma Locher

April 19, 1930 — April 20, 2011

Our loving mother returned to our Heavenly Father and her eternal companion Kurt on April 20, 2011. Norma was born on April 19, 1930 to Walter Varley and Amy Secrist Nelson. She met the love of her life and was married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 28, 1951. Together they served two LDS missions in Germany and their passion was temple work where they served together for over 20 years. Norma is survived by her children: Susanne (Edwin) Tanner, Camille (Rand) Ramey, Michelle (Eric) Thorpe, Robert Locher, Denise (Don) Thompson, and Stanford (Amy) Locher. She will be remembered with love by her 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother Steven and her sisters Marlene and Kristine. Our deepest appreciation to the staff of Legacy House, Bountiful and Aspire Hospice for their loving and tender care. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so are invited to make a contribution to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple Fund. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 1: 00 p.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 S. Main St., Bountiful. Friends may call from 11.45 a.m. 12:45 p.m. prior to the service and on Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful.
