Normand JB Langevin

March 10, 1932 — July 4, 2016

Normand Joseph Bernard beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, passed away from a malignant brain tumor on July 4, 2016.
Born into a French speaking, Roman Catholic family on March 10, 1932 in West Warwick, Rhode Island to Ludger Joseph Langevin and Marie Elise Courture. Two brother: Robert Joseph Adelared and Joseph Richard, and a sister, Lillienne Carmel Marie. After graduating from High School in 1950, he enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict (1951-1955). After the service, he attended the University of Rhode Island, and received a BS Degree in Accounting in 1959, and retired in 1993. He married Sharon Burningham, from Bountiful, Ut., in Los Angeles, California on January 8, 1960 (later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple). He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 2, 1962. Three children were born in Venture, California: Aaron Normand, Rana, and David Joseph, and three children were born in Bountiful, Utah: Tamara, Laura and Jon Bernard. He worked on his genealogy for many years, and found all marriages on both his paternal and maternal lines back to the 15th century. He and his wife, Sharon, served a mission to Bordeaux, France; Zaire (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and Benin, Africa, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Served, with his wife, two service missions at the LDS Church Offices in Salt Lake City. Served in several Ward and Stake positions. Served, with his wife, as ordinance workers in the Bountiful LDS Temple for several years. He was a devoted servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved life.
Private graveside services were held at Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
