Onorina Felicio De Almeida best known as Sister Almeida by her neighbors and sister missionaries at The Family Search Library (31 N. West Temple St., Salt Lake City, Ut 84150) at the B-1 Level where she helped with Portuguese and Spanish for seven consecutive part-time missions, formerly The Family History Library, a genealogical research facility from 2005 through 2012.
She was lovingly known and cared for by all CNAs and nurses at the Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton as “Rina”, from September 2019 to January 6, 2025.
Onorina was the seventh of nine children, four sisters and four brothers.
She was married to Oswaldo Paz De Almeida in 1951. They were married 61 years when he passed away in 2012.
She is the beloved mother of five children: Oswaldo Paz De Almeida, Jr., Los Angeles, CA (Marilda Almeida, Huntington Beach, CA); Rosemarie (John) Cooper, Fruit Heights, Ut; Cesar (Lourdes) Almeida, Corona, CA; Sani (Thomas) Hardy, Lake Elsinore, CA; Jennie Almeida (Jaime Arana), Santa Paula, CA; . She is the beloved grandmother of seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14th at 11am at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Farmington, Ut. A viewing will precede services from 9:45-10:45am.
