Palmer Siegfried

Biography

Palmer Fred (Bud) Siegfried age 85, loved by all who knew him, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday October 29, 2013. He was born in Brigham City, Utah, on July 5, 1928, to Palmer Eli and Juanita Lavon Siegfried. Bud had a great love for his wife, family, friends, and neighbors. One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with his grandchildren. Bud’s love for others will always be remembered by all who knew him.
Bud graduated from Box Elder High and later Utah State University. He served valiantly in the United States Army. On December 21, 1951 Bud married Margene Balls and they were later sealed in the LDS Logan Temple. Together, they spent many years golfing with friends and family. While he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, golfing was his favorite sport to participate in.
Bud was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served faithfully in several bishoprics and in many other church callings. Bud and Margene served together as senior missionaries in Columbus, Ohio. Bud’s ability to make others happy and feel loved continued throughout his life.
Bud is survived by his wife, Margene; sister and her husband, Melva and Dale Baron; and his children, Ned P. and Chanté© Siegfried, Val A. and Carmen Siegfried, and Paula and Pat Brown. Bud is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 4th, 2013 from 6-8pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 at 11:00pm, at the Valentine LDS Chapel, 2150 South Redwood Road, Woods Cross. Friends and family may pay respects before the service from 10:00-10:45am. Graveside services will be at the Brigham City Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
