Pamela Kaye Robinson Montgomery

Pamela Kaye Robinson Montgomery passed away on January 28, 2023, due to complications from breast cancer. She left this world with her family by her side. Pam was born on December 20, 1961. She is the third of four children born to Carlos Lamonte Robinson and Ida Faye Mecham, and spent a happy childhood in Bountiful, Utah. 

Pam graduated in nursing from BYU and loved her work as an RN. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Peru. On September 18, 1986, she was sealed to John Glade Montgomery. Together they had four children: Rachel, Sarah, Matthew, and Daniel. They raised their family in Oregon and Utah. 

Pam loved to be with her grandchildren. She also loved sunsets, being in nature, the Tabernacle Choir, reading, lilacs, llamas, and JellyBellys. 

Later in life, Pam completed a degree in Writing from BYU, then worked as an editor. She put her writing skills to use with projects of her own, including poetry and reflections upon her life as she navigated her two-and-a-half-year cancer journey. Pam compiled many stories of her ancestors, helping us to better know those whose association she is now enjoying.

Pam is survived by her husband, John; her children, Rachel (Cameron), Sarah (Mark), Matthew (Baylee), and Daniel; her siblings, Craig (Joanne), Becky (John), and Linda; and eight treasured grandchildren. 

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 110 Social Hall Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah, where a visitation will be held from 12:00 - 12:50 p.m. prior to the service. 

It is suggested to park in the City Creek Mall parking.  Enter City Creek Mall parking from the west side of State Street, midway between South Temple and 100 South. After parking, proceed to the City Creek food court and walk east through the food court, then cross State Street by utilizing the underground pedestrian tunnel leading to Social Hall Avenue.  At the end of the tunnel, if you proceed right toward the office building main lobby, the Chapel elevators will be immediately on your left.  Alternatively, take the escalator at the end of the tunnel up to the street level, then enter the chapel doors to your right after exiting the escalator.  Services will be held in the 3rd floor Chapel.
