Pamela Stringham Payton returned to her heavenly home on July 30, 2021. Pam was born in Salt Lake City on September 8, 1964, to Gordon and Arlene Stringham. Pam Graduated from Bountiful High School in 1982 and lived in Davis County most of her life.
Pam spent the last two decades of her life with her best friend Kirk Bradshaw. She was previously married to Karl Chase (Bountiful) with whom she had one daughter, Jamie Lee Chase; to Tony Olivas with whom she had one son, Nicolas Anthony Arthur Olivas; and then to Michael Payton; before her partnership with Kirk. Pam had five grandchildren who were her biggest treasure. She loved each and every one of them with all of her heart. Pam was happiest when her grand babies were with her, they all called her Grandma Ham.
As a child, Pam’s favorite thing to do was to get into trouble with her cousin, Diane Peterson Julian. And boy, were they partners in crime! Pam also loved to go to Emery to visit her Grandma Pete. Pam always wanted to write a book about her life with the title “So There I Was.” Anyone who knew Pam would understand this!
Pam was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had an amazing testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ. Pam experienced some very hard trials in her life, but she never lost faith in God. Pam believed in the Plan of Salvation and that we will all be together again one day. Pam is survived by her dog Lucy, her parents Gordon and Arlene Stringham of Bountiful, UT, sister Karin Tandy (Shane), brother Kevin Stringham (Kim), daughter Jamie Lee Linge (Shane), son Nicolas Olivas, and Her five grandchildren.
