Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend succumbed to her long battle with Alzheimer’s on July 19, 2021. Marlene was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 17, 1935 to Kenneth “Morris” and Florence “Josephine” Rosenbaum. She married Don Stark on December 27, 1951.
She was loved and admired by those who knew her. She was devoted to her family and friends. For many years she provided Sunday dinner for her children, grandchildren and anyone else who showed up. Everyone was family! She always made sure there was a variety of options so that everyone had something they liked. Everyone left with a care package!
She enjoyed bowling, playing card with friends, cooking, spending time with family and occasional walks with her grandchildren. Mom had a kind heart and was open and willing to help anyone in need. Many people may remember her from the Orchard Lanes Café. She and Don ran the café for many years and made many friends. People came from all over to enjoy her daily specials.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband. They went on many adventures together over the years.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We are grateful that her mind will be her own again and wish to thank the staff at Legacy House of Park Lane, AMG, and Inspiration Hospice for their kind and loving care.
She is survived by her son Danny (Sheri), her daughter Debbi (Lee), her daughter-in-law Sandy (Gary), 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and her sister Elaine. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Don, her two sons David and Gary, two grandsons, a great grandson, and her brother Kenny.
