Patrick M. Reese

Our husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend, Patrick Reese passed away in Bountiful, UT on February 16, 2022, after a short illness.  He was born in Olympia, WA on July 24, 1954, and was the youngest son of Billy Ray and Mary Reese and had four siblings, Eddy (Karen) – Salt Lake City, UT, Billy (Linda) – Olympia, WA, John (Sharon) – Las Cruces, NM, and Lois – Heber, UT.

He graduated from Bountiful High School on May 25, 1972 and following high school he took the opportunity to explore many career options, ultimately landing in Information Technology where he had a long career leading teams and helping organizations advance their technology and create efficiencies.

He married Dana Barnes on December 26, 1975, in Downey, Idaho, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 9, 1985.  They have three children, Brian – Plano, TX, Lesha – Bountiful, UT, and Eric (Ashley) – Placerville, CA and two grandchildren, Isla and Enzo.

Pat loved his family and loved this country.  Friends and family knew him as a fairly quiet guy, but he could whip out one liners and jokes out of nowhere and have you in hysterics.  Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he spent many years teaching and leading the youth, which was a tremendous joy for him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Mary, Dana’s parents, Daniel and Anna Barnes, brother-in-law, Terry Burke, and sister-in-law Marla Reese, and niece Joie Dee Reese King.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah where a viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoon from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services.
