Patrick Joseph Spalton

July 24, 1956 — February 8, 2025

Patrick Joseph Spalton passed away peacefully in his home February 8th 2025. He was born July 24, 1956 in Des Moines Iowa. Son of Donald Royal Spalton and Patricia (Bergman) Spalton. He attended Piper High school. As a teenager he liked to catch rattle snakes and hide them under his bed and learned to milk the venom from their fangs. He later moved to Sunrise, Florida where he met the love of his life Cameron (Carrie) Gossett. They were married June 6, 1985. They had 3 children Steven, Jennifer, and Patrick Jr (PJ).

In 1991 they moved to Utah where he started his own landscaping/sprinkler business PJS sprinklers. He later retired from that and spent the rest of his years at Wal-Mart in Centerville. Pat enjoyed cooking, decorating for holidays, practical jokes, and recently took a liking in shooting guns. His father played for the San Francisco 49ers, which made him an avid fan of the team and collector of all things 49ers. He also loved collecting trading cards and coins.

He was always so proud of his family, no matter the circumstances, and remembered to tell them any chance he got.

He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Pat is survived by his wife, Carrie Spalton of North Salt Lake, his son Steven (Deniece) Lee of Roy; daughter Jennifer (Jeremy) Rylander of Tooele, and son PJ of North Salt Lake; his brother Donny (Lydia) Spalton, sister Zara (George) Holzmacher; 6 Grandchildren, and 2 cats JasPur and Macy. He is preceded in death by both parents Donald and Patricia, and his cat Groucho.

A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date where his family would like to spread his ashes in Florida.

Donations can be made to help the family in their time of need. https://gofund.me/feae6deb
