Paul Scott

Biography

Paul Wayne Scott, born November 18, 1967 in El Centro, California to Melvin Wayne Scott and Bonnie Lee Hatch. Died peacefully in his sleep October 13, 2014 in Bountiful, Utah.
Paul was born prematurely and had respiratory distress. He was kept at the hospital until he was strong enough to go home. As Paul grew it was discovered that he had some developmental delays and that his bones were not developing properly. He was later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Paul spent the majority of his life in a wheel chair. Despite this, Paul was able to have a fairly normal life. Blessed by the efforts of his parents and siblings and Paul’s desire to be independent, he was able to attend Public school where he had friends and participated in dances and after school activities. He graduated from Mesa High School in Arizona and then joined his father in Utah where he lived with his nine siblings and was able to go to Vocational school to further his education. He remained in Utah the rest of his life.
Paul was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was able to serve in various callings and enjoyed his service and activity in the church. Paul had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed to laugh. Through times of surgery, illness and daily pains he was laughing, sometimes so hard he would end up in tears.
Paul was preceded in death by his Mother, Bonnie Lee Hatch. Paul was brother to 4 brothers and 5 sisters; an uncle to 30 nieces and nephews; a great uncle 3 times; and loved by many friends.
The family would like to sincerely thank the Doctors, Nurses and particularly the Staff and Care takers at Avalon for their kindness and love for Paul over the last few years.
There will be a viewing Thursday, October 16th from 6-8pm and Friday October 17th from 2:30-3:30pm the funeral services will be held immediately afterward from 4-5pm. The viewing and funeral services will all take place at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 Main Street, Bountiful. The Graveside services will be held in Blanding Utah on Saturday October 18th at 2pm.

Funeral services will be held at 3:45 p.m., Friday, October 17th at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2:30-3:30 p.m. prior to services. Graveside services will be held at the Blanding City Cemetery, Saturday, October 18th at 2:00 p.m.
