Pauline Anderson Prude

April 22, 1917 — November 4, 2011

Pauline returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 4, 2011. She was born April 22, 1917 in Enoch, Texas to Julia F. Stokes and Robert Vernon Anderson. Pauline (Polly) was born prematurely and was not expected to live, but the blessings of the priesthood promised her a long and healthy life. She married James W. Prude in Gilmer, Texas on November 5, 1939 and was later sealed in eternal marriage to him in the LDS Manti, Utah Temple. They resided in Richmond, Texas where their four children were born and raised. Julianne, James (Jim) William, Michael and Christopher (deceased). Her husband, James was Area director of Agriculture for the State of Texas until his death in 1965. Pauline was blessed with many talents. She owned a beauty salon for many years and developed close friendships with her clients. Early in life, she developed a great talent for painting. Many of her paintings hang in the homes of friends and loved ones. She appreciated all things beautiful in the world around her and created beauty wherever she went. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a great missionary and example of Jesus Christ , throughout her life. Pauline is remembered for her generosity toward others. She loved everyone and was loved by everyone for her radiant personality, smile and positive outlook on life. She was widowed at the age of 47 and met that challenge with dignity and strength. Words cant express our gratitude for the wonderful example of goodness and love she shared with all. Pauline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the North Canyon Care Center in Bountiful, Utah. We appreciate the great care given to her there by the wonderful staff. She is now with her beloved James Prude; her son, Christopher Prude; and loved ones. She is survived by her 3 children; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She will be buried at the family cemetery in Palmer, Texas. Eternal honor to her name. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Centerville North Stake Center, 1461 North Main, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
